We’ve raised $133,831.34 for our Monthly Beneficiaries so far, to whom we’ve given 3% of our sales each month since September, 2009.
Our mission is to end poverty.
We divide the calendar into four quarters, with each quarter’s theme a front on the battle to end poverty. Our cause for the Spring Quarter, from April-June is Improving Education.
Future Chefs is our May Beneficiary
This month we are proud to renew – for the fourth consecutive May – our support of Future Chefs.
Future Chefs’ model is a three-phase school-to-career engagement process that relies on a “systematic collaboration with food service employers, social service agencies and educators to provide standards-based education, preparatory and work-based experiences, youth development and leadership opportunities and referral services. Our consistent, long-term program uniquely prepares and coaches urban teens to meet the demands and expectations of adult employment in any field.”
